Field Hockey Tour in Sri Lanka

Field Hockey Tour Day 1-3:

At day 1 you will arrive in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. the bus will collect you and your team from the airport and will take you to Negombo. After the check-in at the hotel you will have time to rest from the long flight.  The next two days there will be early training sessions in the Colombo hockey stadium. The first friendly matches can be played in the late afternoon against a local (college) team.  In the afternoon you can sit back and relax at the beautifull beaches of Negombo, visit the local markets or choose to go on excursions with the team.  After a few days of training and some a friendly games in the Colombo hockey stadium it is time to move on.

Field hockey tour Day 3-7:

The executive coach will collect you and your team and will take to the Sri Lanka outback.
First stop is the city of Kandy. In this city there is a lot of sightseeing to do. Visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic, go shopping or enjoy the local food. There are also possibilities to explore Kandy by bike or just stroll down lake of the city in the center of the city.  After a day or two or in Kandy it is time to go the national hockey ground of Sri Lanka in Matale. Here you can play multiple friendly games against local (college) teams or play against the Sri Lanka national team. You probably would not expect it, but Matale is also a good place to play indoor hockey since it is also the home of the Dutch Indoor Hockey Academy.

Field hockey tour Day 7-10:
After a few days of intense training sessions and matches it is time to enjoy the beaches of Sri Lanka. The beaches of Sri Lanka are almost undiscoverd. The beautiful beaches of Trincomalee and Nilaveli are perfect for snorkling or diving. You can discovery the surrounding area by motorbike or go on safari. The east coast of Sri Lanka, and especially Aragam, is a very good spot for surfing. Also at night there is a lot of going on Aragam Bay like restaurants, bars and live music. From Aragam Bay is also very cconvenient to go on a safari.

Field hockey tour Day 10-14:

Begin the tour back through the south coast and climb Adam´s Peak in Nuwara
Eliya and enjoy and a stunning sunrise. Proceed to the coast city Galle where you can stop for some shopping, beaches and sightseeing or to visit a local cricket game. 
From here it is easy to get back to the international airport of Colombo.
